INLAND WATERS FESTIVAL IN PIIRISSAARE HARBOUR - JULY 4, 2024
Did you even know that there was an island in the Lake Peipus? Well, this summer, mark your calendars for July 4th, as the Inland Waters Festival fleet makes its grand arrival at the port of Piirissaare. Join us for a day filled with live music, engaging workshops, and unforgettable experiences.
Event Highlights:
- Performance by VÄLIHARF: a duo performing sea-themed songs with authentic Estonian flair. Their concerts are a journey through the maritime traditions of Estonia, featuring harmonious vocals and traditional instruments.
Workshops and Activities:
- Water Safety Workshop: Learn essential water safety skills, including the proper use of life jackets and life rings, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience on the water.
- Craft Fish Figures
- Paddlesurf: Try your hand at paddlesurfing and experience the thrill of gliding across the water.
- Hanno Cocktail Workshop: Master the art of cocktail making with expert guidance from Hanno, creating refreshing drinks to savor in the summer sun.
- Piirissaare Museum: Explore the island's rich history and culture at the Piirissaare Museum, open for visitors to discover fascinating exhibits (5 EUR for adults, 3 EUR for children).
- Bicycle and Rickshaw Rental: Explore the island at your own pace with bicycle and rickshaw rentals available throughout the festival (10 EUR per day).
Important Information:
- Departures: Plan your visit with ferry departures from Laaksaare at 1:30 PM and 4:00 PM, and return trips from Piirissaare at 8:30 PM and 11:00 PM.
- Cash: Please bring cash with you, as there is no ATM on the island.
